In addition to its health-preserving and preventive effects, resveratrol is used, among others, to treat

cardiovascular, inflammatory or nervous system problems, and autoimmune diseases.

The active ingredient may also play a major role in the prevention of cancer, since the development of tumors

is related to oxidative stress, which is mitigated by resveratrol. Similarly to curcumin,

resveratrol may be a promising complementary therapy for these diseases.

In recent years, medical science has researched the following mechanisms of action of resveratrol:

• neuro- and cardioprotection

• treatment of arthritis

• prevention of atherosclerosis

• prevention of cancer

Additional therapeutic uses

Resveratrol also has proven neuroprotective, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and other preventive

properties. It improves cardiological function, reduces the risk of cardiac hypertrophy and atherosclerosis. It also has beneficial effects against neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease). It also has a positive effect on mitochondrial function and metabolic diseases (diabetes).
